--- Here & Back Again - EW has our first look at The Hobbit, y'all! Three pictures, including Tim I mean Martin Freeman as Young Bilbo. I wish some friendly lady hobbit down the way was being played by Lucy Davis, I must say. Tim and Dawn forever!

--- And speaking of Office-flavored things, as well as small-sized folk, the teaser trailer for Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's new BBC2 series called Life's Too Short - about the "life" of Warwick Davis, famed little person - can be seen over at Twitch! The show's only begun filming and won't air til next year, but this tide us over til then I suppose.

--- Roll In The Hay - I just want to take this opportunity to thank Entertainment Weekly with all my "heart" for using this week's trilogy of covers to gift me with the fantasy of Joe Manganiello as a rugged, dumb farmhand wearing nothing but loose overalls. This will come in handy several times in the future, of this I have no doubt.

--- Crazy States - Glenn's review of Ken Russell's Altered States over at Stale Popcorn is quite possibly the most spot-on, "Yup, that about sums it all up!" review of Altered States ever written. God I love that movie.

--- Bush Whackers - BD has a few more details on the third flick from Oren Peli, director of Paranormal Activity, which is about Nature getting its revenge in the wake of a radioactive disaster. Or something. Sounds kind Long Weekend-y to me?

--- The Owls Are Not What They Seem - If you heard about that JK Rowling website Pottermore the other day and are curious still what the hell it is, watch this video at PopWrap where Rowling comes clean. Sounds fun, says the nerd!

--- New Statham Joint - A trailer for a Jason Statham movie without a shot of a shirtless Jason Statham in it is like a unicorn with its legs sawed off bleating for the bullet to end its pathetic life. Just sad! That said, in the trailer for his latest movie called Killer Elite (so 1994 straight-to-video) that murky underwater shot seen there to the left could be Jason, I suppose, the trailer implies it to be him, so we'll give it a pass until we inevitably watch the movie while folding laundry one future Saturday afternoon and find out if so. But what we will never forgive is the fact that Statham and Clive Owen are in a movie together and it's not a love story full of sweaty torrid liaisons.

--- Stone's Pride - Rumors abound that Emma Stone might be taking the lead in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which for a long while was a role that lay in Natalie Portman's delicate fingertips. I like it, but then I like the idea of Emma Stone taking any part. Every part! (Well except Mrs. Andrew Garfield. Lay off, lady! He's mine!)

They're Coming To Get You, Clive Owen

I briefly mentioned Intruders last week - it's the new horror flick from 28 Weeks Later's Juan Carlos Fresnadillo starring Clive Owen and the terribly-missed Carice Van Houten of Black Book awesomeness (speaking of, I'm really in the mood to watch Black Book again). Well now there's a trailer! (Via Slash) Or a teaser trailer, I guess. It's out on October 7th. JCF goes on to reboot The Crow, possibly with Bradley Cooper, next.

--- Coming For Clive - The new horror flick from Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, the director of the criminally underrated 28 Weeks Later, is called Intruders, and it stars Clive Owen, Daniel Bruhl, and Carice Van Houten (woot!), amongst others. The film comes out in October supposedly, and BD's got some info, as well as a link to a gallery of pictures from the movie. Sign me up!

--- Vroom Vroom - Glenn finally saw the third Texas Chainsaw film, the one with Viggo Mortensen, finally. I still haven't seen that one. That's different from the one with Matthew McConaughey, right? I've only seen bits of that one. But now all I can think of is Mike Vogel in the remake. Swoon.

--- Speaking of blasts from Viggo's past, Nat took a look back at his sexytimes with Diane Lane in their 1999 hippie romance A Walk on the Moon, which is what birthed my (and probably your) Viggo infatuation. Sexiest hippie of all time? I think so.

--- And speaking of Nat, he just reviewed Water For Elephants, and his review has totally convinced me that that's all I need from the movie, ever. I mean, I love circus stories, what happened here?

--- Penis Envied - Hey look, it's an illustrated list of famous full frontal man-ness.

--- Hot Zombie - STYD highlights a brief fun bit of chat between Fright Night remake director Craig Gillespie and his star Colin Farrell about Gillispie's recently announced next movie, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Colin Farrell would make the sexiest zombie of all time, right? Even sexier than Amber Heard in Zombieland.

--- Super Slumber - The LAT got JJ Abrams to list six films that were an influence on his upcoming Super 8 - and is it just me or does the movie get more exciting every time you see the trailer? - and on the list is, I shit you not, the genius slasher Slumber Party Massacre. Weird! Also, awesome!

--- Single Ladies - Slash directs us to a new red-band trailer for Bridesmaids. I haven't watched it yet. They also direct us to six character posters for the film, which really? Is anybody asking for that? I'm as excited for this movie as anybody, but that's nuts.

This will be the only time that I ever advise against it, but sneaking up behind Patrick Wilson might not be the best idea this weekend. He's awfully jumpy. He's got good reason to be, what with the terrifying demons and what not. And anyway, Jake's got problems of his own, what with the constant exploding.

Both Source Code (my review) and Insidious (my review) are out today, and they're both worth seeing, besides a couple of minor reservations here or there. You'd have a fine weekend at the multiplex if you sought them both out. There are several other movies out today as well, and you can read up on my thoughts on those over at Celebrity Beehive. I blame Hop for altering the course of humanity, amongst other things, so don't miss it!
