Storyline
A young girl joins a survival contest in order to save her community in a dystopian future.
In a not-too-distant future, North America has collapsed, weakened by drought, fire, famine, and war, to be replaced by Panem, a country divided into the Capitol and 12 districts. Each year, two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal intimidation of the subjugated districts, the televised games are broadcasted throughout Panem as the 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, literally, with all citizens required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss' young sister, Prim, is selected as the mining district's female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart, Peeta, the son of the town baker who seems to have all the fighting skills of a lump of bread dough, will be pitted against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives.

The Hunger Game movie which recently had stars joining the cast for principal roles seems to be having more stars on board for The Hunger Games movie just announced two new additions to its extending cast. So the latest arrivals to the cast are new comers Dayo Okeniyi and Amanda Stenberg. These two stars have been cast for two important supporting roles that are of Thresh and Rue. The male character is of a heavily built teenager while the female character is that of a small but fit teenager. Director of movie Gary Ross seems to be on bis way to combine award nominee acting talents with upcoming talents and this is going to be a not to be missed flick in a number of ways.
As the story of The Hunger Game movie goes a main part of the story is the competition which will ran throughout the movie as a significant event. Thus from 12 districts children are chosen to participate in the contest and they are known as tributes.Promising stars Dayo Okeniyi and Amanda Stenberg will be playing the roles of tributes of District 11. The main characters named Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark represent District 12. These contestants are made to participate in a battle to the death which promises glory and many rewards or their district. As for previous works of these newcomers the former had starred in short feature Eyes to See and forthcoming flick Slew Hampshire while latter had starred in upcoming Colombiana and the television movie Taste of Romance.
As for the main characters of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Game movie they are set to be played by Academy Award nominee Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson. Moreover it has also been said that another key role which is of Gale will be portrayed by Liam Hemsworth.
